Dracula Tour - The Prince ... and the Legend

DAY 1

Arrival in Bucharest (capital city of Wallachia, settled in 1459 by prince Dracula). Transfer at 3* Capitol hotel in the heart of the city. Accommodation. After a little rest, your guide will take you on a walking tour in the historical district of Bucharest ( ruins of Dracula's residency included ).
Fancy dinner at Dracula's Club.

DAY 2

After breakfast, departure trough Pitesti to Sibiu. Proceed to Arefru (they say that here are the descendants of Dracula's soldiers); visit the ruins of one of Dracula's fortresses (Poienari). Arrival in Sibiu a wonderful Saxon mediaeval city - sightseeing. Accommodation at elegant 3* Imparatul Romanilor hotel in the heart of the city. Traditional Transylvanian dinner in a village near by.

DAY 3

After breakfast, departure to Cluj. On the way, visiting Alba Iulia - the only Vauban citadel in Transylvania. City tour of Cluj - one of the most important cultural center of Romania (it was settled by Romans, and it was the capital city of mediaeval Transylvania). Accommodation at stylish 3* Continental hotel in center of the city. Traditional Transylvanian dinner.

DAY 4

After breakfast, departure to Bistrita. Sightseeing and walking break in this charming town. Drive on Borgo pass where your eye and heart will be fascinated by the wonderful landscapes of Transylvania. Accommodation at 3* hotel Dracula's Castle, fabulously located in a spot surrounded by Carpathian mountains. Special medieval dinner "a la Dracula".

DAY 5

After breakfast, departure to Sighisoara trough Saxons' Land. Stop on the way in Targu Mures for a short walk; visit the Palace of Culture - the most beautiful art nouveau building in Romania. Sightseeing Sighisoara (the place of Dracula's birth and the most well preserved medieval citadel in Romania - part of UNESCO heritage list), accommodation and dinner at 3* hotel Dracul near by.

DAY 6

After breakfast, departure to Bran. Visiting Dracula's Castle (20 km away from Brasov - Castle was set in the way to fool the mobs and prevent them to reach it). Visit the medieval fortress of Rasnov ( Rosenau ). Departure to Brasov. Accommodation in the center of the city at 3* Capitol Hotel. Sightseeing Brasov one of the most important mediaeval fortified city. Romanian special dinner with wine tasting and folkloric spectacle.

DAY 7

After breakfast, departure to Bucharest. Visit Snagov Monastery - where it is presumed that prince Dracula is buried. Afternoon departure back home.

The price valid for groups:

Groups of 20 persons : 540 EU /person/ in double room.
Single supplement : 120 EU
More than 30 persons : 480 EU /person/ in double room.
